Duke's Double Day

Duke Lee was runner-up here last January to Rep Porter in the Poker Night in America Main Event. He's mack today looking for another Main Event final table and one step higher on the pay ladder. No matter how he finishes, this weekend is not going to be nearly as wild as one poker day in Las Vegas last summer.

Lee was playing a number of events at the WSOP - including the $1500 Monster Stack - and also the Hollywood Poker Open Main Event at the M Resort.

Deep runs followed in both tournaments, no big deal, right?

Well, you see, it went like this ...

Lee entered both tournaments, ran deep in both, and when the final day came for HPO, we was 18/21 ... and he was ALSO in Day 2 of Monster Stack, both events with cards going in the air at the same time.

Yep, he was set to multi-table at casinos 12 miles apart.

Lee has more than 100k in Day 2 of the Monster Stack, and players were not yet in the money, so he opted to blind off some chips there and go the the M where a larger payday (for that day) was ahead.

He finished 18th at HPO for $13,000, running KK into the TT of Calvin Anderson, drove across town and rejoined the Monster Stack field, made not only Day 3, but Day 4 as well and took 23rd for another $39,000
