Biggest Pot of the Tourney
I showed up because Matt Boddorf tipped me off to what looked to be the biggest pot of the tournament taking place over at Table 4.
Josh Moua - the first player to 1,000,000 chips - had put his last 330,000 in the middle on a board of . There's already 525,000 in the pot and Jasthi Kumar (above) is sitting with 410,000 behind, debating whether he can make the call for all but 80,000 of his stack.
Twice, Kumar looks to the dealer and says, "I need another minute," even though no player had called clock.
This is a 1.2 million chip pot with blinds at 6000/12000, a 100BB pot ... and Kumar finds a call
Moua - for top pair, queen kicker
Kumar - for two red aces, no 8 for either player, no diamond draw for either player, and Kumar needs to fade a Q or T to take this down, and the 8 for the chop.
The river is and Moua goes from 1,000,000 to out in 2 levels.
Jasthi Kumar - 1,290,000
Level - 22
Blinds - 8000/16000
Antes - 2000
