Monolith Champ gets a @HPTPoker KO

@Jasthi_Kumar took down last weekend's 909-entry $425 Monolith (with a $250,000 guarantee that ended up being a $327,000-plus prize pool). Today he just took out HPT Reno 5th place finisher Marty Gorenc in a hand that Gorenc relayed to the Hold'em Radio World Reporting Headquarters.

Gorenc opened to 500 with Kc Kc and Kumar made it 1500 preflop. "I knew what he was doing, so I made it 2500," said Gorenc, and he said Kumar made the call.

The flop of Kc Kc Kc had to make Gorenc twitch a bit thinking he'd flopped a Royal Flush. he did, however, flop broadway, and with just 10,000 behind, he shipped his remaining chips into the middle.

Kumar, he said, snap-called and turned over Kc Kc for a flopped flush.

Gorenc is on his way over to register for the $350 10-seat-guarantee multi-table satellite. he says he's buying in tomorrow for Day 1B whether he wins a seat via the satellite.
