4pm today is the first of four starting flights for one of the most popular tournaments held all yer at @TVPokerRoom, the $250,000 guaranteed Monolith, a $425 buyin with 15,000 starting stacks, 30-minute levels on Day 1, moving to 40 minutes after Level 21 on Day 2 (Sunday).
Players have one entry and one re-entry available per day - a maximum of 8 possible entries - with late registration closing at the start of level 5 for each flight (1:10pm for 11am flights and 6:10pm for 4pm flights).
12 percent of each starting flight in The Monolith reaches the money, with 10 percent of each flight moving on to Sunday's 11am start Day 2. Players who make the money in a flight but don't make Sunday can play additional flights to try to advance.
This is a Best Stack Forward event so players can bag chips in one flight and play an additional flight to shoot for a better bag. Players who bag twice cash out the smaller bag at the Day 2 Mincash, playing the larger stack throughout Day 2.
The Monolith kicks off the 11-event Poker Night tournament series, featuring a number of different events - including next weekend's $1100 Main Event with its final five players televised Monday, Jan. 30 for "The Final Table," TV show.
There's also filming next Saturday and Sunday of a $25/$50 Cash Game to be featured in a Poker Night in America episode. Qualifiers for as low as $80 take place all week to win a seat at the Televised Cash Game.
